Homemade Frosty Paws

Homemade Frosty Paws

Homemade Frosty Paws

I saw this recipe on Pinterest and it looked so easy and frosty paws are so expensive. This is so easy. I added 2 table spoons more of peanut butter because my dogs love peanut butter and I made it in measuring cups instead of an ice cube tray since my dog is 165 pounds and I did not think a little cube would satisfy him. Make sure to have water for your dog when there done. I can’t say I know how they taste but based on the brief amount of time it took him to inhale it and the puddles of slobber, I think he liked it. This is such a cute recipe and idea, I hope to make it again.

Simple Lemon Curd

Simple Lemon Curd

Simple Lemon Curd

Curds and tart and sweet but this one was great because you can taste the butter. It’s super simple and fun to make and you really don’t need to go to the grocery store to make it. I served the curd on top of short bread cookies with a cup of tea. Some people eat it straight but it does not have a good texture change in it. I would give this tea time treat 4 stars. It was a great treat.

Sun dried tomato humus

Sun dried tomato humus

Sun dried tomato hummus

It was very simple and had a freshness from the lemon and a bite from the garlic. This was so easy to make; it took me 5 minutes to make. You need a food prosseser and not a blender! I suggest serving it cold and adding two more teaspoons of lemon juice. You can add all most anything to the hummus such as: pesto, sun dried tomatoes, roasted red peppers, pine nuts, garlic and artichokes.I used sugar snap peas to dip into the hummus because it adds a crunch! I give this recipe four stars for its versatility.

Mustard chicken

Mustard chicken

This was a great combination of flavors. It was so tender and the leeks added a kick. I was impatient, and did not wait long enough for the white wine to cook down and have the sauce be thicker. I served it with Potato Dauphine which is posted below.

I give this dish 4 stars, since I think it needed a little more bite. I got this recipe from Jamie Oliver Meals in Minutes. I love this cook book and recommend it.

Potato Dauphine

I loved this dish! I made it for Christmas dinner and it was great for the occasion. It had a buttery and creamy taste and smelled amazing!

Next time, I will add less olive oil because there was a little too much in the recipe for the dish. It took me 2 hours to make, but was worth it in the end. I served it with a mustard chicken, which I posted above, they worked great together.

I give the Dauphine 4 stars. I got this recipe from the Jamie Oliver Meals in Minutes cook book. When I saw it, I had to make it!

Fried tomatoes

These were okay. They were meant to be fried green tomatoes because they are firmer but you need to go to a farmer’s market to get them. They were to loose and a little soggy. I added some fresh oregano to add a freshness. I served with Mac and cheese with bread crumbs. I give this recipe 3 stars. It was not my favorite.

These were great for the holidays! You can gift them or just leave them out on the counter to eat through out the day. It took me 2 minutes to make and they have 4 ingredients. I give this treat 4 stars. They are great to gift in a mason jar with a big bow!
